Client Focus: Youth Activism

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We seek an experienced professional who has worked in an agency, who has worked with high-profile individuals, and who is passionate about making lasting social change through youth activism. The primary function of this position is to manage at least one high-profile social impact client who is focused on leveraging their platform to encourage broad and deep participation in the democratic process.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to think creatively, boldly, and practically about how to tackle some of the biggest social issues of today. Key methods through which you will do this include:

Client Management

  • Act as primary point of contact for all client communication
  • Lead communications with each of your clients through weekly check-ins and other touch points to provide updates, strategic advice, answer questions, and ensure continued alignment and client satisfaction
  • Craft and articulate proactive and responsive strategic recommendations, taking into account client goals, strengths, available assets, and key gaps/opportunities in their field of interest
  • Be available to engage with clients in a cadence that is suitable and appropriate to move the work forward

Strategy Development

  • Conduct and leverage research, analysis, interviews, internal expertise, and institutional knowledge to identify opportunities for clients in their area(s) of interest
  • Monitor trends and changes in issue, media, political, brand, and nonprofit landscapes
  • Prioritize measurement and impact analysis in both research and evaluation of client engagements
  • Work closely with internal departments (digital, research, marketing, talent relations, etc.) to develop and refine client strategies

Project Management

  • Following the Propper Daley process guidelines, provide superior project management for client strategy development, execution, and follow-up
  • Create agendas, reports, and all other written materials needed for client strategy development, execution, and follow-up; proactively and continuously communicate and track action items
  • Develop and manage against complex and competing project timelines, including managing across internal departments; continually update and maintain project timelines
  • Keep the team organized, bridging communication between the various internal departments to ensure everyone has the time and resources to execute against project timelines
  • Establish project management best practices and troubleshoot project flow solutions across a range of client projects and priorities
  • As applicable, source and engage external, expert consultants and manage their work

Execution

  • Lead creation of all client-facing deliverables (decks, memos, etc.)
  • Develop a sophisticated understanding of client needs and relevant social issues, and identify, cultivate, and manage potential partners with whom to engage in order to advance those needs
  • Identify, develop, plan, prepare, and execute social impact activations and events
  • Develop impact reports
  • Develop and manage project budgets and financial systems

You are driven by educating, empowering, and inspiring the next generation of changemakers and have a deep understanding of how to make that happen.
  • A DOER: While you are a seasoned professional with strong experience, you still love to do all parts of the work. Whether it’s building and executing a large-scale strategy, or taking notes during a partner call, you like to have your hands in all parts of the work to ensure its success.

Position reports to: Co-Head Social Impact Practice
